High Conflict Family Law
In Florida, the same laws apply to a military divorce as would a non-military divorce. Typically, complications may arise if you are a member of the military or a military spouse. In every divorce proceeding, the parties file an affidavit declaring if either spouse is a member of the military and if so, where they are on active duty. However, this does not have any bearing on the substance of the divorce. There are additional factors that can affect the divorce proceeding, such as, being deployed or stationed in another country, military compensation packages, pension plans, property division laws, and military protection from divorce proceedings.
The attorneys at Hertz • Sager, can assist you through the military divorce process in order to make the best decision for your family.
