Katie Sager has dedicated the entirety of her legal career exclusively to marital and family law, estate and trust litigation, and guardianship administration and litigation. She has over a decade of experience representing clients in a variety of family and marital law matters, including, divorce, modification and enforcement of marital settlement agreements and parenting plans, establishment of timesharing and parenting plans, alimony, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, domestic violence, dependency defense, estate and trust litigation and guardianship litigation and administration. In addition to litigation, Katie also represents clients in appeals of their family or marital law final judgments and orders.
Katie also has experience serving as a Guardian Ad Litem in high-conflict family law litigation. A Guardian Ad Litem or “GAL” is a neutral third party appointed by the court to act as a next of friend of the child, investigator or evaluator, to advance the best interest of the child or children in a particular care and to make recommendations related thereto the Court.
Katie’s legal experience, professionalism and effectiveness as legal counsel is regarded amongst her peers and clients. Katie has earned the distinction of being named a Florida’s Super Lawyer Rising Star every year, since she first earned the distinction in 2019. She has also earned the AV Rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory, which recognizes pre-eminent designation in Family Law by her colleagues in professionalism and experience. Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in writing, from Florida State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. Katie finished in the top 5% of her graduating class at St. Thomas University School of Law and earned the prestigious academic honor of Magna Cum Laude.
